The Lakehouse at Toyako is situated on the northern side of Lake Toya in western Hokkaido, Japan. Lake Toya (Toyako in Japanese 洞爺湖) is located in Shikotsu-Toya National Park, within the Toya Caldera and Usu Volcano Global Geopark region. With hiking and nature trails, water sports and just 25 minutes from Rusutsu Ski Resort (ルスツ), Lakehouse at Toyako is one of the most exclusive lakeside retreats in Hokkaido.
Getting to the Lakehouse by car:

Head north towards Lake Shikotsu take route 36 to Lake Shikotsu-Dori. Turn left at 錦町3 intersection onto route 16 towards Lake Shikotsu –Dori. Then, turn left on to highway 453. Turn right onto highway 276. Continue to follow highway 276 to Kimobetsu (About 53.5km) turn left onto highway 230. Turn left onto route 66 and travels approx. 6.5 km then turn left at traffic lights onto route 132. On route 132, travel approx. 2km you will pass the Toyamizube No Sato Takarada Camping Ground sign, 100 meters after, just before reaching the bridge turn right and keep driving along the river (500 meters) until you reach Lakehouse at Toyako.

Getting to the Lakehouse by train:
New Chitose Airport (via Minami-Chitose) to JR Toya station.
JR Chitose Line / Muroran Main Line Limited Express approx. 90min. Take train from Airport station to Minami Chitose station (3 minutes) Change trains to JR Toya on Muroran Main line. Get off at JR Toya station Taxi to Lakehouse at Toyako.

Getting to the Lakhouse by local bus:
Take express train to Sapporo Station. Change to Donan bus at bus terminal from “Sapporo JR Station” to “Toya Mizuno Eki”.
Booking required, can be booked up to 120 minutes before.
